Mold in the wardrobe – how to get rid of it in the corners and the ceiling?

The source of mold in the wardrobe are thermal bridges - places where the heat penetrates faster from the indoor environment to the outdoor environment compared to the other places or structures. Thermal bridges include, for example, corners and above-door structures. The surface condensation of the water vapor and the temperature drops result in the formation of mold in the wardrobe. Wardrobes are often poorly ventilated, without constant air flow – the perfect condition for mold formation.

On which parts of the wardrobe should the material be applied?

Apply the Nano Coat System to places where thermal bridges are located as these are the places where the heat penetrates faster from the indoor environment to the outdoor, thus affecting mold formation. Apply the material to the ceiling and the walls that are adjacent to the exterior.

If your walls are already infested by mold, it is important first to get rid of it and repair the wall construction, and only then apply the material.

Nano Coat System consists of: 

Nano PT - represents deep penetration that stabilizes the foundations. It is used for absorbent cohesive surfaces and is applied with a brush or roller.

Nano AM - it is used on all other surfaces where we can not use Nano PT. Thus, non-absorbent cohesive surfaces such as glass, iron and others. Apply with a brush or roller.

Nano TC - it is used to repair holes, cracks and small irregularities of size up to 3-4mm.

Nano Coat Home – the final layer of mass applied by a stainless comb trowel to a pre-treated, smooth surface of about 2 mm thick. After drying, grind the surface with sandpaper.


Apply in the following order: 

1. Nano PT or Nano AM,

2. Nano TC, if necessary to repair the surface,

3. final layer Nano Coat Home.
