Since I learned that livestock farming is the biggest factor responsible for climate change and pollution of our environment, I have changed my eating habits. I have been eating vegan for five years now and save 1340 kg of CO2 annually!
Environmental and animal welfare is very close to my heart. Since I learned that animal agriculture is the biggest factor for climate change and responsible for the pollution of our environment (far more than all transportation worldwide) I have changed my eating habits for the benefit of all. For five years I have been eating a completely vegan diet, saving 1340 kg of CO2 annually! The largest amount of plastic in the oceans comes from the fishing industry and fish nets, which is why I support organizations like Sea Shepherd and do educational work on this topic myself. At home, we are used to recycle everything and doing a lot of things by bike.
My small steps to help the environment:
- I eat a purely plant-based and thus spare nature & of course animals.
- I use glass bottles and glass containers instead of plastic
- I recycle garbage
- I buy only paper bags and try to avoid plastics
- I order unpacked organic vegetables from a farmer.
