When it comes to environmental responsibility, I have been actively picking up litter in the surrounding areas, that are close to lake Guggenberg, for the past year. Unfortunately, the lake beaches are full of cigarette butts.
My name is Karin Thermann and I am 61 years old. For the past 2 years I have been working for Helske providing care services in Bad Abbach, since it opened back in October in 2019. When it comes to environmental responsibility, I actively pick up litter in the surrounding areas, that are close to lake Guggenberg, for the past year.
My small steps to help the environment:
- I regularly pick up cigarette butts, which unfortunately the beautiful lake beaches are full of,
- I contacted a company called British American Tobacco that provide pocket ashtrays as a solution to this litter problem,
- I am willing and keen to talk to smokers making them aware of the effects smoking has on environmental pollution.
